Hi , I’m Romy
I’m a fourteen year old living in London. In 2021, I was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. Both of those diagnoses were really scary to face. Now I’ve had the chance to get used to the idea, one of the things that has helped me is writing. It’s been a really good coping mechanism for me. As much as my family and friends are there for me, they don’t really understand how I feel. Which is okay. I decided to write this blog to share my experiences in the hope that if you, or someone you know is experiencing something similar, then this blog will be some sort of friendly support to them. I don’t have the answers to everything and I find it hard to manage my emotions. I just want you to know that it’s okay to be scared and even if you’re having a really bad day, just know that today isn’t forever 🙂
My aims :
. Raising Autism and ADHD awareness in girls.
. To encourage others ( and remind myself) to love and accept who they are.
. To rewrite the narrative ; change traditional perceptions of success.
